Heaven's awaiting

Recently found a piece I scribbled some years ago...

Where is the promise that You have
Tell me, O Lord, if You still do care
Hear the cries of our hearts
For Your purpose we set ourselves apart
Set Your eyes upon those who suffer and perish
Upon their souls Your grace and mercy will be
Lift them up in the midst of tears and pain
Impress upon their hearts that it's for eternal gain
Disheartening, things may seem
But bear in mind, heaven's awaiting
