World peace

The noble and politically correct thing to say when asked: 'What is your dream?' question. World peace.

Simply put,
World peace = Peace with God + Peace with yourself + Peace with others

There was peace until sin came along.

If we are not at peace or not reconciled with God in this fallen world, can we still be at peace with ourselves? I figured not. And without the former two, we cannot attain peace with others. People resort to violence and end up hurting others and themselves. And thus, no world peace.

When will there be world peace? Until Jesus returns for the reconciled. Until all have seen and heard the glory of God and be reconciled with Him. Till then, try as hard as you may, there will never be world peace.

Just a thought inspired by Miss Congeniality, Gracie Hart.

good thoughts on world peace...

All creation anticipates the day when it will join God's children in glorious freedom from death and decay (Romans 8:21)

would that day be the beginning of world peace?

Absolutely, Tom. Till that Day comes, we've gotta keep believing and keep walking.

A friend, Peter Rowan, is doing a thesis on social reconciliation in Malaysia... sounds interesting to see how the gospel can be relevant to bring abt racial harmony!
