Eye candy

Hey, do you know what the sky looks like this morning? Stamped with cotton candy clouds!

I love to be visually enticed. Choose function over form. Minimalist. Am a web weaver and designer. Closet dream: Photographer.

The resolution is not as bad as I thought... (Left - taken 23 Oct 2005) Lovely sunset from the view of my bedroom. (Right - taken 15 Oct 2005) Do you see that the whole sky is filled with clouds except the portion above the left building? Hmmm, I call it the Blue Hole. ;P

Yea, I love to sky-gaze whenever I can.

Ha, all these pixs can be displayed because I finally activated my mobile's MMS function. I know, either I am slow or not motivated enough. I recently did it just so I can show a friend my attempt to source for a corporate tee for her new company. Waha. I shot myself in the dressing room. Thankfully I can disable the loud click when my mobile camera goes off! It is free-size, tee material and comes in 2 styles: off-shoulder and toga.

Au naturel

Wanna know if you are a natural beauty (like me), modern gem, urban chic or classic contemporary? Find out after 7 simple clicks!

I am a slacker this week, compared to the insanity I was twirled into the past months!

It has always been a personal preference to shop alone, but it was a lot of fun having Ivory's company. And the dining at Cartel with the gals. Girly bliss. I learnt that Ivory and I bear certain resemblances, and likes some things I don't and vice versa. For instance, we both prefer walking and sitting on the left of the person next to us - reason being: we feel off-balance and for me in particular, I am a leftie. So she felt balanced most of our time together at my expenses because she walked and sat to my left! ;P I learnt that Ivory likes apparels with frills and buttons, button mushrooms; I don't. I like capsicum; she doesn't. No, I am not obsessed with her. It's just that I have known this lovely friend for some years but have never really gotten down to knowing her.

Hmmmm, sadly I have not been spending time with the important people in my life. I remember Pastor said this to me and my fellow Bible School students in 2002 - We have all eternity to fellowship in future. What's more important now is we fulfil God's destiny for our lives within the time (grace) we have at present. *nods* Gotta balance, I suppose...

I learnt that Ming leads a more insane life than I, and her fellow teachers on this island. I learnt that Raine loves baby carrots and maple sauce. I was reminded that Ming doesn't take seafood and is lactose-intolerant. I learnt that Raine needs a protector on her way home ;P I learnt from Ming a new way of describing an outright insensitive friend, whose words have disappointed me - "He has the sensitivity of a hammer". If you are that friend of mine, I don't think you will realise I am referring to you anyway.

Anyhow, I believe we do love and understand one another beyond what's being said.

Zzz

It's a weird feeling to sleep enough. I have been paying my sleep debt for the past three days. Oh, and I slapped a long-awaited collagen mask on my tired face last night. Seems that I have many good stuff tucked away somewhere in my closet and are now beginning to emerge, thankfully before the expiry dates.

But the so-called good days will soon be over. I will have to be back working on my ever-on-going project from now. An exhausting November is beckoning. And we shall be embracing EXPO very soon.

Jan says

HONEY HONEY
HONEY HONEY

HONEY HONEY
HONEY HONEY
HONEY HONEY
HONEY HONEY

My most recent favorite song: 'Honey Honey' by Stefanie Sun...

I have been (and still am) swamped I hardly have time for anyone lately. I have no extra brain cells to spare, no extra attention for myself even. So friends, if I have neglected you or made you feel I don't love you anymore, I still do.

Have you heard?

Introducing the new Bio-Optic Organized Knowledge device -- trade-named: BOOK.

BOOK is a revolutionary breakthrough in technology: no wires, no electric circuits, no batteries, nothing to be connected or switched on. It's so easy to use, even a child can operate it.

Compact and portable, it can be used anywhere -- even sitting in an armchair by the fire -- yet it is powerful enough to hold as much information as a CD-ROM disc.

Here's how it works:

BOOK is constructed of sequentially numbered sheets of paper (recyclable), each capable of holding thousands of bits of information. The pages are locked together with a custom-fit device called a binder which keeps the sheets in their correct sequence.

Opaque Paper Technology (OPT) allows manufacturers to use both sides of the sheet, doubling the information density and cutting costs. Experts are divided on the prospects for further increases in information density; for now, BOOKS with more information simply use more pages. Each sheet is scanned optically, registering information directly into your brain. A flick of the finger takes you to the next sheet.

BOOK may be taken up at any time and used merely by opening it.

BOOK never crashes or requires rebooting, though, like other devices, it can become damaged if coffee is spilled on it and it becomes unusable if dropped too many times on a hard surface. The "browse" feature allows you to move instantly to any sheet, and move forward or backward as you wish. Many come with an "index" feature, which pin-points the exact location of any selected information for instant retrieval.

An optional "BOOKmark" accessory allows you to open BOOK to the exact place you left it in a previous session -- even if the BOOK has been closed. BOOKmarks fit universal design standards; thus, a single BOOKmark can be used in BOOKs by various manufacturers. Conversely, numerous BOOK markers can be used in a single BOOK if the user wants to store numerous views at once. The number is limited only by the number of pages in the BOOK. You can also make personal notes next to BOOK text entries with optional programming tools, Portable Erasable Nib Cryptic Intercommunication Language Styli (PENCILS).

Portable, durable, and affordable, BOOK is being hailed as a precursor of a new entertainment wave. BOOK's appeal seems so certain that thousands of content creators have committed to the platform and investors are reportedly flocking to invest. Look for a flood of new titles soon.

Taken from Ming's blog; subscribed from Mikey's Funnies. Now I'm a subscriber of it too!

Nice. Ha, my kind of read. For the recent months I have been staring at computer screens for too long I realised my "eye power" has gradually gone up. From the last visit to my optician a month ago, I was told my degree has decreased. Now I supposed it doesn't stand anymore. Sobs.

Raine day

Here's introducing you the new spokewoman of MZX bah guah! *winks* It is the so-called weird birthday gift for Raine, the giver calls it, but I think it's very sweet of Keeve. Erm, why aren't you in the pixs ar? Thanks for the wonderful company and digicam, bro ;)

And here we are lazing and catching up at Beach Road's TCC. Nice ambience and flattering lighting that makes our pixs turn out rather well... hee.

Spotlighted Cass & Raine. Miss-I & moi. Yea, here's where I got my latest potrait from... Folks are generally happy with my new look. More girly and refreshed they say. Some took a few seconds to register me and my face. *giggles*

Our tired-from-paper-marking Miss Wang striking an ancient beauty pose...

I know we should taken a group photo, but I guess we were too intrigued by Cass and Keeve's amazing stories about spiders, pandas and penguins... ;P

Beautifool

This has made me look and smell "auntie" but it is one of my best friends in this season of my life. Recommended by an aching friend, San, and I bought one for myself and another for June. Extremely good for temporary relief. The Tiger Balm Neck & Shoulder Rub.

I bought this as part of the 'Save Jan's eyes' mission months ago. I forced myself to stick them on my eyes just last night. Slept just after the clock struck twelve. Earliest bedtime in months I told Tim. I woke up feeling better and with bigGER eyes. Really amazing ;) Cortry Remedy for Eyes.

Waha. This is like an ad blog.

P.S.: Delirious me is so looking forward to Stefanie Sun's

Heaven's awaiting

Recently found a piece I scribbled some years ago...

Where is the promise that You have
Tell me, O Lord, if You still do care
Hear the cries of our hearts
For Your purpose we set ourselves apart
Set Your eyes upon those who suffer and perish
Upon their souls Your grace and mercy will be
Lift them up in the midst of tears and pain
Impress upon their hearts that it's for eternal gain
Disheartening, things may seem
But bear in mind, heaven's awaiting
